The GOAL of our United Methodist Youth Fellowship is to offer young people an opportunity for spiritual and social growth through a variety of planned activities. These activities may include games and sports, worship time, bible study, retreats/camps, and missions.
Specific Goals of Alta's UMYF
- To help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- To help youth grow in their faith.
- To provide youth a safe haven from the pressures of the outside wosrld.
- To help youth grow in knowing Godly values and their God-given worthiness as a person.
- To give youth knowledge of Christian traditions and help them explore how to build Christian community.
- To promote the hearing of God's call through prayer, study, and worship.
- To urge youth to continue their journey of faith through service and missions to their church, community, and world.
In keeping with these goals, Alta United Methodist Youth Fellowship meetings are not only a time for food, fellowship, and fun, but a time for Christian growth through discussion, study, and worship. Our youth group is a place where youth can come, just as they are, and discover together how awesome our God is!

Sunday morning
Every Sunday morning at 9:00am, the youth gather together to worship and learn about our Christian heritage and the amazing stories that make up our biblical canon. Sunday school plays a vital role in helping to build a solid foundation for the faith journey of our youth.

Fellowship and Fun
We believe that faith encompasses all aspects of our lives, including our play time and fellowship time. Because of that, our youth ministry makes sure to provide plenty of activities for our youth that include good ole' fashioned fun!

Missions
Whether it is feeding the homeless, visiting our church's shut-ins or going on mission trips (Rise on the Road), there are countless opportunities throughout the year, for your youth to learn what it means to be "servants in Christ."
