About Our Pastor Pastor Terry Pollard was appointed as pastor of the Alta United Methodist Church in July, 2006. He also has been serving as pastor of the Schaller United Methodist Church in Schaller, Iowa, since July, 2005. Terry has been in full-time Christian and pastoral ministry since 1980 and has served in a variety of ministries for more than 25 years - serving as an associate professor of pastoral ministries in Bible college, denominational editor, Christian school administrator, and church education curriculum writer. He pastored churches in Washington, Louisiana, Alabama, and Missouri. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Kansas City College & Bible School and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary. Terry's wife, Diana, is an elementary music teacher. She has a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Northern Iowa. Terry & Diana have a blended family of five children: Chad (married to Karey) is an associate pastor in Missouri, Lance (a college student in Kansas), Leandra (a college student in Kansas), Brad (a college student in Iowa), and Danny (a college student in Iowa).   A Word From Our Pastor Hi, It's pretty simple for us here at Alta United Methodist Church. We are a community of people who care about you and love Jesus. We are a group of different people learning what it means to live in God's family together. We are seeking authentic relationships with each other as we grow in loving, intimate relationship with Jesus.
