The Alta United Methodist Church is a Christian community of faith expressing its faith through worship and action. In response to the love of God and the example of Jesus Christ, we are called:

To reach out to the community in its diversity, accepting people just as they are and ministering to their needs;

To provide opportunities for spiritual growth and development as we nurture Christian discipleship;

To equip and send disciples of Jesus Christ into the world to make life more loving and just for those who live here.
To accomplish this mission, we seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and blessing of God in developing effective ministries in the home, workplace, community and world.
